Barrow Foodbank gets support from the Raiders…

The players have shown their support, now it’s your turn as fans of the Raiders!

Tesco Extra in Barrow is doing a Neighbourhood Food Collection up until Sunday 3rd July. The Neighbourhood Food Collection is held twice a year in all Tesco stores, the one in Barrow is partnered to the Barrow Foodbank, stocks of the foodbank are quite low and they urgently need as much as they can get.

It was great to see Matty Holmes, Matty While, Daniel Morrow and Josh Ward attending the event to support the campaign as well as Rugby Director Andy Gaffney and also the mayor of Dalton and the mayoress of Barrow. We would also like to thank Nat from Tesco for inviting us down and letting us support this campaign.

You can donate the following items, just simply purchase them with your next shop and place them in the basket on the way out:

  • Tinned Meat
  • Tinned Fish
  • Tinned Veg
  • Tinned Fruit
  • Cooking Sauces
  • Coffee
  • Milk (UHT or Powdered)
  • Sugar (500g)
  • Fruit Juice (long life)
  • Tinned pudding
  • Jam
  • Instant mashed potato

Or you can buy one of their ready made donation bags, each bag contains a selection of items which have an approximate total cost of between £2.00 and £2.20.

They are hoping to reach their target of 15,000 meals for the Local Community, so please support this campaign as much as you can, as every can helps!
